Jeremy Renner is concentrating on regaining control of his health, and he's giving fans a behind-the-scenes peek at how he's accomplishing it.
Over a month and a half after his New Year's Day snowplough accident, the 52-year-old Hawkeye actor is updating his fans on his healing process. Renner discusses some of the work he's been doing to get better in a new clip he's shared on his Instagram Stories.
With stimulation devices strapped to his calf and thigh, Renner's leg shakes in the video, which features the Beatles' 1968 hit Lady Madonna.
"Electric stimulation workout," Renner wrote. "And muscle strength."
Jeremy Renner's recovery Journey:
After the January tragedy in which he was run over by a 14,300-lb. snowplough while assisting a family member in freeing a stalled car from the estimated 3 feet of snowfall from the previous night, Renner has remained candid about his ongoing recovery process.
According to the authorities, the event happened on January 1 along Mt. Rose Highway in Reno, Nevada. After the event, Renner was rushed to the hospital where he was described as being "in critical but stable condition."
The next day, the movie star underwent surgery, and according to insiders, he was with his family and "receiving excellent care."
Renner went on to describe the steps he was doing to get back to his regular routine in the weeks that followed, from going home and continuing his rehabilitation to providing a graphic account of his efforts in an Instagram update on January 21.
Renner may be seen having what appears to be physical treatment in that image as she lies in bed.
"Morning workouts, resolutions all changed this particular New Year's…Spawned from tragedy for my entire family, and quickly focused into uniting actionable love," he wrote.
The Mayor of Kingstown star then said that he wanted "to thank EVERYONE for their messages and thoughtfulness for my family and I...Much love and appreciation to you all."
"These 30 plus broken bones will mend, grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens," Renner concluded. "Love and blessings to you all."
