Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s romance all came to a screeching halt when the former found some suspicious text messages on her fiancé’s phone.
A source spoke to Page Six and said that the texts that Fox found alluded to the musician having an affair.
"[Megan found] DM’s and text messages that led her to believe he has been having an affair," the source told the publication.
This was seemingly confirmed when the Jennifer’s Body actress started displaying some strange behaviour on Instagram.
She began deleting photos of herself with MGK and later posted a slideshow displaying the lyrics from Pray You Catch Me by Beyonce that read, "You can taste the dishonesty/it’s all over your breath" hinting at some form of dishonesty in their relationship.
Later on she deleted her Instagram page and was spotted without her engagement ring.
The source went on to explain the couple’s current relationship status, "They are broken up, but Megan is seeing where they stand. She wants to see what they can salvage."
Meanwhile, MGK "really wants to make up".
A few days after the news broke, Megan was seen tearfully leaving a marriage and couple’s counsellor’s office with the musician in tow, reportedly looking to fix their relationship.
The two looked rather glum and went in their separate cars.
In the midst of this, online trolls dragged Kelly’s guitarist Sophie Lloyd as the woman behind the couple’s split.
However, Lloyd’s management instantly refuted the allegations and shut down rumours of a potential affair.
"Any suggestion that she has ever acted in an unprofessional manner or stepped out of her relationship are untrue," Lloyd’s management told the same publication.
"It’s disrespectful to her as a female artist and poor journalism and social commentary to be reporting anything else."
