MrBeast has rubbed his viewers the wrong way over his latest YouTube video.
The social media influencer released a video where he cured 1000 people’s blindness.
While the obviously good deed saw MrBeast get appreciated, some called him out claiming that he was only seeking to grow his YouTube channel by exploiting others’ troubled situation.
Just hours after releasing the video, it garnered over 40 million views at the time of writing, but it seemingly caused uncanny feelings to others who called it "demonic".
"He just makes people dance on camera for basic human needs so he can make millions. It’s weird," one user wrote.
"Charity porn. Right at the start of it they say something about how 50% of blindness is curable. Then to see them just dancing around like it's a talk show charity segment infused with the vibe of modern content tailored to our destroyed attention spans feels viscerally wrong," another mentioned.
"That's my problem with it. I don't know if they actually want to do good or if its for the greater glory of their image," a third user wrote.
"Not exactly the way I'm looking at it, but valid nonetheless. I suppose the net result of these actions ends up being very positive, how we got to a place our society where these things happen in this manner is the worrying part to me," another viewer chimed in.
