Katy Perry reveals she turned down Billie Eilish collab: I was like 'meh, boring'

Katy Perry has her hands full of regrets.

The 38-year-old songstress revealed that she passed up an opportunity to work with Billie Eilish during the early days of the latter’s career.

She claimed she was offered to collaborate with Eilish on her hit single Ocean Eyes which she declined, thinking it was just another “blonde” girl.

Perry told a group of fans during an intimate gig that she received an email from someone that said, “Hey, check out this new artist. I’d really like us to work with her because she was working with me for Unsub [Records].”

“It was a song called Ocean Eyes, and it was just a blonde girl,” Perry candidly revealed. “And I was like, ‘Meh, boring.'”

However, Perry went on to acknowledge that it was a “big mistake, huge mistake” to pass up on such an offer, adding “Don’t let this hit the internet.”
