Apple Martin has completed the prophecy.
The 18-year-old daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin was seen walking the runway at Chanel's haute couture presentation on Monday at Paris Fashion Week.
Apple was dressed in a black-and-white checked dress and blazer for the star-studded fashion event, and she was seated first row with Lucy Boynton and Sadie Sink, who were also wearing Chanel. Baz Lurhmann, who directed the movie Elvis, was also present.
Derek Blasberg, a fashion writer and TV personality, highlighted Apple's night on Instagram by sharing some behind-the-scenes pictures of the adolescent and a statement that paid homage to the late Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld, who recognised Martin's promise as a fashionista years ago.
"Karl Lagerfeld met Apple Martin when she was 4 years old and declared that one day she'd be a Chanel girl. It happened today!" The 40-year-old Fashion Week veteran wrote about Lagerfeld's prophesy coming true.
Apple wore her hairpin straight and centre parted, imitating her mother's hallmark look. She added smokey, winged eyeliner as an emphasis to her eyes and completed the look with a rose lip.
