Gabrielle Union has spilled on the potential fate of Bring it On sequel.
The 50-year-old actress revealed that the creators are planning on expanding the iconic cheerleading film franchise.
“We’ve been developing a sequel forever,” Union told Variety at the Truth Be Told Season 3 premiere Thursday.
However, she is not giving fans false hope.
“But for folks who don’t exactly understand how long development can take in Hollywood, that could be five minutes or 50 years,” Union said.
Starring Kirsten Dunst, Eliza Dushku, and Jesse Bradford, the 2000 film follows Toro cheerleading squad from Rancho Carne High School as they battle for the national championship trophy against their rival squad.
The franchise has since spurred five direct-to-video sequels and a Halloween-themed TV sequel.
