Actor Ben Savage is seemingly switching professions.
As per reports, the 42-year-old actor is planning a run for Congress for California’s 30th District seat which is currently held by Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Burbank.
Paperwork has also been filed with the Federal Election Commission to create a committee for Savage’s campaign.
According to Deadline, the Boy Meets World star may run for U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s seat, although the report is not confirmed.
Savage’s recent move comes after his long-running interest in politics.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Savage revealed he had previously interned for Sen. Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania, while he was a student at Stanford University in 2003.
He also ran for a seat on the West Hollywood City Council last year.
