Vogue has announced a rather uncanny line-up of co-chairs for this year’s Met Gala.
The event which will be held on the first Monday of May, i.e., May 1 will be hosted by Penélope Cruz, Michaela Coel, Roger Federer, Dua Lipa, and Vogue’s Anna Wintour, according to Vogue announcement.
This year’s Met Gala will honor the late Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld, following his death in 2019.
The Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty theme of this year's Met will see the celebrities doll up in over 150 of his creations – after choosing from his archives at Chanel, Chloe, Patou, Fendi, Balmain, and his eponymous brand – as an attempt to explore his “stylistic language.”
Moreover, the late designer’s original sketches will also be on display.
Fashion fans will be able to follow all the action on Vogue’s official live stream.
