Britney Spears has spoken up in the aftermath of Friday's "meltdown" at a Los Angeles restaurant - with an odd and rather a combative Instagram meme.

"They told me I couldn’t that’s why I did!" read the description the Toxic singer posted that portrayed a woman in sunglasses with her legs crossed.

The article was published a day after a peculiar Britney-style meltdown occurred over a normal dinner date with her husband Sam Asghari in Los Angeles.

Witnesses claimed that JOEY was ranting and "talking nonsense" at the pop icon, 41, on Friday night, which prompted Asghari to leave the Woodland Hills eatery, according to TMZ.

A stressed-out Spears can be seen in the video sitting by herself and grumbling to herself before leaving with her security.

The most recent Instagram photo comes after a flurry of bizarre updates to Spears' social media profiles.

Spears has also uploaded videos and images of herself performing strange dances, flipping the camera off, and even gorging on a cake that had fallen on the ground.
