New year new me: Shawn Mendes debuts DRAMATIC chop

Shawn Mendes ditched his usual locks for a New Year’s haircut as the singer was snapped with strikingly short hair.

The 24-year-old was photographed having breakfast with friends at Verve Coffee in Los Angeles in a casual getup of a white shirt, loose sweater, scarf, trousers and black shoes.

While his certainly put his best foot forward in his fashion game, what stood out this time was his new haircut.

Instead of his signature long hair, the singer stepped out with a buzz cut, looking very different from what his fans usually see. 

The dramatic haircut seems to come as a very recent decision as the 24-year-old, last week, rocked his longer hair as seen in a video where he stripped down to a tiny pair of black boxers to take a plunge in a freezing cold river in the snow.
