Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, why Cassie Lang Is Key to Scott's Story Arc?

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is a father-daughter relationship movie.

Scott Lang, played by Paul Rudd, will explore the universe in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and meet Kang the Conqueror there.

But beside him will be Hope van Dyne from Evangeline Lilly, Hank Pym from Michael Douglas, Janet van Dyne from Michelle Pfieffer, and Cassie Lang, Scott's daughter, played by MCU newcomer Kathryn Newton.

The father and daughter had missed a lot of time together because they both grew tremendously when Scott was imprisoned in the Quantum Realm during the Blip, and Ant-Man 3 will partially rectify this.

Director Peyton Reed revealed to Nerdbunker that Cassie has a more significant role in the film.

“Well, Cassie's going to be 18 in this movie, that's great.' The whole theme is time and how much time he's missed, and his main motivation is just, 'I want time with my daughter.' And now he's coming into contact with a villain in this movie, Kang the Conqueror, who has dominion over time, and what does that mean to them?"

Kathryn Newton, 25, is set to take up the role of Cassie Lang as the third star, making her the most prominent iteration of the character to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to the Quantumania previews, Cassie does not play a supporting role and appears to participate equally in action alongside her father.
