Bill Cosby has got new charges to face.

According to a lawsuit filed on Monday, the actor Bill Cosby is now being accused by five women of sexual assault and violence following the new Adult Survivors Act of New York.

The lawsuit, which accuses Cosby of assault, battery, inflicting emotional distress, and false imprisonment, was filed in New York state court by actresses Jewel Gittens, Jennifer Thompson, Cindra Ladd, Lili Bernard, and Eden Tirl, all of whom had roles on "The Cosby Show."

The "Cosby Show" production company, NBC, and the studio where it was recorded are also named in the lawsuit.

Cosby "used his power, fame, and prestige, including the power, fame, and prestige given to him by defendants NBCUniversal Media, LLC, Kaufman Astoria Studios, Inc., and The Carsey-Werner Company, LLC, to misuse his enormous power in such a nefarious, horrific way," as per the lawsuit.

Cosby vigorously disputed all charges against him and expressed interest in representing himself in court, according to a statement from his agents.
