Body language expert Judy James reportedly revealed the reason behind Adele’s dedicated fanbase.

Speaking to the Sun, James explained that the Easy On Me singer several “body language rituals” and “techniques” to connect with her audience.

Her goal is to “make people in the audience feel like she’s their best friend,” and she does it by mimicking a few moves of Bill Clinton, including the signature “baby waves [he] would do when he walked out in front of a large audience and pointed and waved at individuals to create a feeling of charismatic bonding with the whole group.”

While the 34-year-old singer “looks reasonably authentic” to the expert, she claimed, “she's playing it all out on a large stage with a huge audience.”

She also construed subtle but noticeable “cute, palm-clenching baby waves” specifically constricted for “individuals that she appears to recognize” in the audience.

“This is a powerful technique of ingratiation that many world leaders use to bond with their audiences by pretending to pick them out and implying they are all her friends,” she revealed.
