If alive, would Princess Diana be threat to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle's wedding?

Numerous rumours have appeared regarding supposed incidents that occurred before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding in 2018. It was undoubtedly a difficult time for the royal staff working behind the walls of the palace, whether it was due to allegations of violent family disputes, rumours that The Queen summoned Prince Harry for a talking-to or Meghan's displeasure with many of the planned plans.

A well-placed insider believes the couple would not have met and married if Diana, Princess of Wales had not passed away. Several people in the royal community have previously claimed that the couple's relationship would "end in tears" and that Harry is "emotionally reliant" on Meghan.

Dickie Arbiter, a former press secretary to the late Queen, shared his thoughts on the couple's relationship as they continue to subtly criticise The Firm in advance of the publication of Harry's forthcoming autobiography, Spare.

Mr Arbiter told the hosts of GB News: "If Princess Diana was alive today we would not be going through this.

"She had her head screwed on the right way. She was very practical and he was very sensible.

"I'm going to stick my neck out here and I doubt Harry would have married Meghan because Harry wouldn't have been in the state he was in as a result of his mother's death, he would have taken a completely different course and he would still be here working in support of the [King]."
