Chinese singer Kris Wu sentenced to 13 years in prison over rape charges

Chinese star Kris Wu has been proven guilty of charges of rape.
The Canadian native was sentenced to 13 years in prison by a court in Beijing on Friday, Nov. 25, over charges of rape dating back to 2020.
The investigation led by the court proved that the singer and actor had raped three women between November and December 2020.
"Wu Yifan took advantage of three drunken women...at his home," the district court said in a statement released through its WeChat account.
The allegations against the 32-year-old multi-hyphenate star arose in July last year when an 18-year-old beauty influencer Du Meizhu came forward with claims that Wu sexually assaulted multiple women while they were unconscious.
