Chicago is set to host its 88th Thanksgiving Day Parade which is estimated to be flocked with nearly 100 Parade participants and over a thousand volunteers.
These include U.S. Army 1st Infantry Division, top marching bands from 16 high schools and universities, 29 colorful multi-cultural groups representing Chicago's neighborhoods, 10 festive floats; five equestrian groups, and six character balloons.
The parade will travel north on State Street from Ida B. Wells Drive to Randolph.
The street host for the parade, Ashley Berry, assured the attendees that the festive event will indeed feature a cold air balloon with some “crowd favorites,” including “Fred Flintstone and Felix the Cat, Scooby-Doo.”
The parade will start at 8 a.m. and will span three hours.
