Jimmy Fallon asks Elon Musk to remove #RIPJimmyFallon from Twitter

Jimmy Fallon wants everyone to know that he is healthy and living.

On Tuesday, when #RIPJimmyFallon began to trend, the host of The Tonight Show shot to the top in an effort to put an end to the hashtag.

"Elon, can you fix this? #RIPJimmyFallon," Fallon, 48, tweeted by tagging the new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk.

Before Wednesday morning, Musk, 51, responded stating, "Fix what?" apparently clueless about the trending hashtag.

Later in the day, it emerged someone told the Tesla owner about the trend and he replied again: "Wait a second, how do we know you're not an alien body snatcher pretending to be Jimmy!? Say something that only the real Jimmy would say …"

Even if the CEO of Twitter was having a little fun on the social network on Wednesday with Fallon, many Twitter users have started to impersonate real people ever since Musk took control and altered the authentication process.
