Nas calls out Jay-Z.

Nas responded to Jay-Z releasing a photo of his Grammys after he released the tracklist for King's Disease III.

On Monday night (Nov. 14), during an appearance with Trevor Noah on The Daily Show, Esco discussed Hov's most recent Instagram post from the Grammys.

As a result, Noah questioned the Magic rapper about his song "Thun" and the lines against his Brooklyn rival.

Nas, formerly Nasir Jones, admitted that the songs were all expressed as love for his opponent.

“When I released the tracklist for that album the other day, he released a picture with all his Grammys,” Jones told the Comedy Central show’s host about Hov. “Yeah, shout out to him.”

On November 8, the image in question—which showed the rapper legally known as Shawn Carter sipping from one of his many Grammys—arrived. The emcee was seated and decked up in all-black. He was also accompanied by a variety of goodies.

The Brooklyn rapper has a history of releasing new music on the same day as the "Ether" singer, so dropping the snap on the day Nas released his tracklist fits in with Hov's alleged past attempts to outshine his former rival.
