Lindsay Lohan reveals she was the one to suggest to the creators of Falling for Christmas a reimagined call back to Mean Girls.

In an interview with Live with Kelly and Ryan, the 36-year-old actress said, “It was my brilliant idea to bring it up in a conversation with the directors and the producers. I was like, ‘Oh, wouldn’t it be fun if we did a blooper reel at the end and we all kind of did the Christmas scene from the talent show in Mean Girls?’”

The Parent Trap star went on to explain that while she pitched the idea in the beginning, she quickly realized that it would inadvertently “ruin” the legacy of the iconic movie.

“I shouldn’t have said it because it went straight to, ‘Oh, let’s recreate the “Mean Girls” talent show scene,'” Lohan noted. “I was like, ‘Oh, no, no, you can’t touch “Mean Girls”! Sorry, you can’t do that.”

Lohan eventually ended up belting out her vocals for the Christmas movie’s record titled Jingle Bell Rock.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lohan recalled the pressure to perfect the song and called it “nerve-racking.”
