Renowned animator Jules Bass dies at 87

Renowned filmmaker Jules Bass passed away on Tuesday, October 25 at the age of 87.
The news was confirmed by Bass’ publicist, who revealed that the animator died at an assisted living facility in New York.
The late star was known for his work on stop-motion holiday specials, including Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town, Frosty the Snowman, and The Year Without a Santa Claus, with his pal Rankin.
His last project is listed as the Thundercats Roar TV series, which was released in 2020.
He was also a children’s book author.
