Fred Armisen shaved his head.

Regarding his role as Uncle Fester in Tim Burton's upcoming Addams Family-themed television series Wednesday, Fred Armisen is aware of the first question you're going to ask. Yes, it is the answer.

He affirms, "I shaved my head for it.

“They really did such a great job with the makeup and everything. I had no eyebrows. It was prosthetics over my eyebrows to give me that look,” he opened up to Variety in his first interview about the show.

“But I think that bald caps don't look great all the time, so I was hoping to just make it that much more convincing.”

Since the other members of the family were made public, online rumors about the actor who plays Fester in the Netflix series have been rife. (No, Johnny Depp is not in it.) It had always been Fred Armisen.

Jenna Ortega plays the title character in the macabre young woman in Wednesday, while Catherine-Zeta Jones portrays Morticia, the grandmother, and Luis Guzmán plays the seductive Gomez.

In episode seven, Armisen makes his television debut, assisting his depressed niece's investigation into a murder at her isolated boarding school.
