Keith 'Wonderboy' Johnson passes away at 50
Keith Johnson was a gospel singer who started singing from a very young age
Gospel singer Keith ‘Wonderboy’ Johnson is no more with us.
The black musician passed away Friday, September 30. He was 50 years old.
The cause of his death has not yet been revealed.
Black Gospel Radio took to Instagram to pay an emotional tribute to the singer, writing: “Saddened to hear about the transition of Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson! Our prayers and condolences go out to the family, friends, and Quartet community! His music lives on at Black Gospel Radio.”
Johnson was born in May 1972, in Brooklyn, New York. He started his music career by singing alongside his father and uncles from a very young age.
Soon, due to his heavenly vocals and sound command in his voice, the Hide Behind the Mountain singer got dubbed “Wonderboy” at the age of 5.
He put out a total of fourteen studio albums throughout his lifetime.
