IU bags award for 'Rookie Female Actress' at Chunsa International Film Festival'

On September 30, IU has won Rookie Female Actress award at the Chunsa International Film Festival for her role in Broker (2022). The film's director Koreeda Hirokazu also won the Director Award on this day.

This award marks IU’s first recognition as an actress for her amazing performance in the film Broker.

The 29-year-old actor could not attend the Chunsa International Film Festival and accept her award in person since she has been in close contact with a COVID-19 positive case.

For the unversed, the film revolves around the characters associated with baby boxes, which allow infants to be dropped off anonymously to be cared for by others.
