Angelina Jolie has come out in support of Iranian women following the death of Mahsa Amini.
Protests in Iran continue after the death two weeks ago of 22-year old Mahsa Amini, who was in police custody for wearing the hijab improperly.
The postmortem report of Mahsa shows signs of torture which the Iranian state has continuously denied.
The protests have captured global attention, and Angelina Jolie was among those who spoke up. The 47-year old posted a passionate note on Instagram to show solidarity with the Iranian women protesting for rights and justice.
The actress, director, and activist wrote, "Respect to the brave, defiant, fearless women of Iran."
As per Deadline, the Iranian government has warned of "decisive action without leniency" in order to stop the unrest. After this, dozens of protestors and security personnel died.
