Harrison Ford may be in Marvel's Thunderbolt.

A recent report suggests that Marvel Studios may be courting a well-known actor for the upcoming 2024 release of Marvel's Thunderbolts.

Jeff Sneider, a movie insider, claims that Harrison Ford, star of Feature Wars and Indiana Jones, "either is or was the studio's top choice to star in THUNDERBOLTS as the General himself." However, the insider adds the key caveat that “It's unclear if he already passed...".

Later, after his argument with John Rocca, Sneider claims that Marvel wanted to reveal Harrison Ford as Ross along with the rest of the Thunderbolts cast at the D23 Expo.

However, Ford hadn't made up his mind by then, and theories ranged from Lucasfilm wanting Ford to concentrate (pun intended) on Indiana Jones 5 to Ford's reluctance to take William Hurt's place.

William Hurt passed away on March 13, 2022, as a consequence of symptoms related to the incurable prostate cancer he had been diagnosed with since 2018.

Hurt played Thunderbolt Ross in the MCU from The Incredible Hulk in 2008 through Black Widow in 2021.
