Elton John’s shocking revelations on late Michael Jackson in his memoir ‘Me’

Elton John spilled out shocking revelations about late Michael Jackson in his new memoir Me: Elton John.

Elton, who describes the late pop singer as “mentally ill, a disturbing person to be around”, wrote, “I’d known Michael since he was 13 or 14. He was just the most adorable kid you could imagine.”

However, Elton continued, “At some point in the intervening years, he started sequestering himself away from the world and away from reality, the way Elvis Presley did.”

Reflecting on Michael’s addiction to painkillers, Elton mentioned, “God knows what was going on in his head, and God knows what prescription drugs he was being pumped full of, but every time I saw him in his later years, I came away thinking that the poor guy had totally lost his marbles.”

“I don’t mean that in the lighthearted way. He was genuinely mentally ill, a disturbing person to be around,” remarked Elton.

The Candle in the Wind hit-maker pointed out Michael’s obsession with children, saying, “For whatever reason, he couldn’t seem to cope with adult company at all.”

Apart from late pop icon, Elton also wrote about his special friendship with late Princess Diana and Queen Elizabeth in his autobiography.
