King Charles III currency to go into circulation

Britain will be introducing a new currency featuring King Charles as reported by the Bank Of England.

Charles portrait will appear on existing designs of all four polymer banknotes ranging from 5 to 50 pounds. 

It may take a while before these notes start coming into existence, mostly by the middle of 2024. 

New notes will be printed to to replace the worn out banknotes and to meet any overall increase in demand. 

All existing currency notes and stamps bearing the late Queen's image will still remain valid.

This change in policy came soon after Elizabeth's passing at 96 and crowning of Charles.
