Latto ‘salutes’ Cardi B and Yung Miami for balancing motherhood and career

Latto is inspired by Cardi B and Yung Miami.

Latto paid homage to female rappers who successfully juggle work and family obligations. She did praise Cardi B and City Girls member Yung Miami in the podcast Caresha Pleaseits.

Additionally, she has previously defended the right to an abortion by teaming up with Planned Parenthood in August, so this is not the first time she has backed women as an artist.

The interpreter of "Big Energy" also discussed his hectic schedule and the value of striking a healthy work-life balance.

“I really salute you“, she said in Miami.

“I always use you and Cardi as an example. You know how they always try to make it look like, ‘Oh, no. You can’t have a baby yet. It’s not possible, you’re going to slow down. ‘Miami didn’t stop. Cardi didn’t stop. You rewrote history for us…”

The artist also mentioned that a child "is not too far away," despite not having any of her own. "I’m ready… I’m not going to lie. Maybe in a year or two.”
