Prince Harry’s ‘obsession’ to keep Archie's birth private has led to ‘tears of frustration’: Source

Prince Harry was reportedly “obsessed” by privacy concerns that he tried to keep his son Archie’s birth a secret from the media.

Katie Nicholls in her new book, The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth's Legacy and the Future of the Crown, talked to sources who opened up about Harry’s concerns over privacy.

A source explained about royal protocol when it comes to the birth of a newborn baby at the Palace.

Katie explained that the parent of a baby needs to answer a few questions to the media before “they return to their residence”.

Page Six reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly “tried to outfox the media” before the Palace released a statement and disclosed the duchess was in labour.

Katie cited Daily Mail’s royal editor who mentioned, “Behind the scenes, matters were so fraught that more than one official, as I know from personal experience, was reduced to tears of frustration and despair.”

“Harry had always enjoyed outfoxing the media,” claimed the royal commentator in her newly released book.

Katie added that the couple’s obsession with privacy over Archie’s birth eventually “damaged their relationship with the press”.
