Ashton Kutcher has recently admitted that his movie No Strings Attached is quite “similar” to a movie which featured his now-wife Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake in 2011.
According to E! News, the Killers star reunited with his co-star Natalie Portman on the latest episode of Our Future Selves’ series.
During their joint Peloton workout session, Kutcher said, “I think the first time we really started hanging out is when we shot No Strings together.”
To which Portman responded, “Who would've thought 20 years later, we'd be on a Peloton together?”
“Wait, it's also weird because my wife was shooting basically the same movie, called Friends With Benefits,” remarked the Jobs actor.
Interestingly, the plot line of both movies was more or less same. It revolved around a man and a woman who decided to “turn their friendship intimate without becoming a romantic couple”. However, both protagonists realised that it’s way more complicated than they thought it to be.
Reportedly, both movies had earned the same profit worldwide worth $149 million.
Meanwhile, Friends with Benefits had “a slightly higher amount of $35 million compared to No Strings Attached worth $25 million.
