Nicki Minaj successfully headlined Rolling Loud NYC

On Friday, September 23, Nicki Minaj closed up day one of Rolling Loud NYC at Citi Field in Queens, New York, and she brought along a few guests to shake the festival grounds.

Expectations for a big show were high because Nicki was the first female rapper to headline Rolling Loud, and the hometown queen delivered.

When the Fashion Nova stage's lights turned pink, fans scurried across the festival grounds to obtain a good place to see South Jamaica, Queens, native in all her glory.

She entered the stage at roughly 9:15 p.m. with the noises of yelling fans filling the air in the Big Apple.

Once she realized she had the festival-goers in the palm of her hands halfway through the concert, Minaj dived even further into her repertoire of hits.

The rapper's 2018 song "Chun-Li" instrumental had fans bursting at the seams, and the Barbz faithful only got louder when their favorite performed "Only" and "Truffle Butter" without Chris Brown and her fellow Young Money artists Drake and Lil Wayne.
