Lewis Capaldi launches a heart-wrenching cover of Olivia Rodrigo's 'Drivers License' : Stream Now

Singer Lewis Capaldi teamed up with the Spotify singles to record his own version of pop icon Olivia Rodrigo's smash debut single Drivers License along with the reimagining of his new song Forget Me. 

Capaldi refined Rodrigo's Billboard Hot 100 No 1 into a just simple yet effective piano ballad. 

His take on Drivers License was released on September 21 where he started off with deep words like, "Sidewalks we crossed, I still hear your voice in the traffic, we’re laughing over all the noise." 

Two days after his cover hit streaming apps, the Hold Me While You Wait crooner shared in all his excitement in a tweet with few of her lyrics in the caps, "I KNOW WE WEREN’T PERFECT BUT I’VE NEVER FELT THIS WAAAAAYYYY FOR NO ONEEEE."

  For the Spotify Singles version of the song — which earlier this week earned him his third U.K. No. 1 — Capaldi again stripped it down to simplistic piano that put his raw voice on display.
