Prince Harry and Prince William’s joint appearance after the death of Queen Elizabeth II was “not just for the public” but it was “honest and genuine”, claims former royal butler.

According to OK! magazine, Grant Harrold, who once served as a butler to now King Charles III, revealed that the Prince of Wales walking side by side with estranged brother Harry during funeral procession of their grandmother was “intentionally planned”.

“Things don’t just happen. They are always planned. But I don’t think this was intentionally planned,” said the former royal staffer.

He noted, “It could be short-lived, but the Queen’s death brought them together.”

Harrold explained that the royal brothers gave an impression of “a united family” with their appearance along with their spouses Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle for the walkabout at Kensington Palace.

The former butler noticed that new head of the royal family mentioned about Harry and Meghan in his first speech as King had “set the tone for the ceremonies to follow in the future”.

"The King acknowledged Harry and Meghan’s new life in California, while made clear they are part of the family in his first major statement, actually speaks volume,” added former royal staff member.
