Hollywood's heartthrob Shawn Mendes is all set to drop down the original soundtrack for the much-awaited animated film Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile!
Shawn Mendes, who also leads the voice over of the titular character, shared that he will be releasing one of the original soundtracks he finalized, with the tentative title Heartbeat on the September 30.
According to Variety, the acclaimed singer is currently credited on eight tracks and is also accompanied by his co-stars Javier Bardem, Constance Wu and Anthony Ramos. The complete track is scheduled to be officially released on October 7, with the film’s huge premiere.
While speaking to People amidst the project’s announcement in June, Mendes explained how he felt ‘really comfortable’ with his new voice-over role as Lyle since the crocodile constantly sings throughout the movie, which he felt relatable.
“I was able to do what I do best, plus I relate to his story and his character so much it felt natural,” he commented. “When I was approached to help make the music for the adaptation of such a classic book, it was a no brainer and just such a fun departure from what I am used to” he continued.
