Akon Is Collaborating With Britney Spears

Akon is looking forward to collaborating with Britney Spears following her comeback to the music industry.

Speaking to Hollywood Life, the Lonely singer revealed he would love to feature the Toxic singer on one of his Afrobeats songs.

“I would love to collaborate with Britney on an Afrobeats track,” Akon shared. “I like her music. She is an amazing performer and I really like that about her too.”

The scoop comes after the Bananza pop star dropped his recent track I Need You, which included Britney Spears' iconic vocals.

“Anything is possible and I think that Britney’s comeback is very well-needed,” he said.

Moreover, Britney Spears recently dropped her much-anticipated collaboration with Elton John on a single titled, Hold Me Closer. The collaboration marked the singer’s first release since 2016.

The singer also acknowledged the songstress’ past struggles while she was under a 13-year conservatorship of her father and advised her to “stick with it and never give up.”

He continued: “Everything that she’s going through is just preparing her for a better tomorrow,” adding that Britney’s upcoming releases “should sound sincere and represent her recent struggles.”

“I think her story is more than worth listening to,” he noted.
