Disney+ releases trailer for David Beckham series 'Save Our Squad'

David Beckham to return to his East London roots in 'Save Our Squad'

Disney+ has unveiled the teaser of its series Save Our Squad, featuring David Beckham  going back to his East London roots.

The teaser was released on September 22 and the series is Co-produced by UK indie Twenty Twenty and Beckham’s Studio 99. The series sees David Beckham go back to his East London roots and help out the Westward boys.

According to Deadline, the Manchester United and LA Galaxy star mentors the Westward boys of East London and try to help revive the team from the lowest rank of their league and protect them from relegation.

Save Our Squad is the first non-scripted show of Disney+ that is commissioned outside of the U.S. The series will be available to stream on November 9, 2022.

Beckham’s Studio 99 is also in the process of making The Premiership: Rise of the Billionaires (working title) for Paramount+.

Revealing at the Edinburg TV Festival, Disney+ is going to make 60 international origin shows and docuseries in the next two years, this includes a show on the Wagatha Christie case and a program on the Brawn F1 team, narrated by Keanu Reeves.
