'Masterchef' season 12 grand finale results surprises fans who claim that they have been pranked
MasterChef: Back to Win season 12 finale results shocked the fans as they claim that the results were totally unexpected.
Fox’s Masterchef Back to Win Season 12 aired its grand finale on September 14, where Christian Green, Michael Silverstein and Dara Yu were the final three contestants competing for the trophy.
Dara Yu, who had previously participated in Masterchef Junior, took away the win by impressing the judges with her with her crispy skin red snapper complemented with Chinese-style short ribs, and stunning dessert of vanilla ile flottante.
While the fans claimed that it was a well deserved win, they were quite surprised as they expected Silverstein to be the winner of season 12 because of Grubhub’s commercial.
Food delivery service Grubhub had released an advertisement prior to the finale, which featured Silverstein along with the other past contestants who had won their own seasons.
As per MSN’s updates, netizens took it as a sign that Silverstein indeed was the next champion of Masterchef which turned out to be false.
Reddit fans expressed how they were pranked by Grubhub, as one of them joked “Note to self: don't use grubhub for faking me out like that," and another said "That GrubHub commerical played us lol."
