Kanye West terminates Gap partnership over 'substantial noncompliance'

After a series of complaints, Kanye West has finally ended his deal with The Gap and is set to launch his own retail stores.

The musician has reportedly sent a letter of termination to The Gap accusing it of failing to deliver up to its agreements in case of marketing the Yeezy fashion line. He also announced the opening of thousand of Yeezy retail clothing stores around the world.

"GAP left Ye no choice but to terminate their collaboration agreement because of GAP’s substantial noncompliance," the fashion mogul’s attorney claimed.

He also shared that the Donda rapper had “tried” to work through the issues with the store but had “gotten nowhere.”

Ye signed up for a 10-year partnership with The Gap in 2020 to create his fashion line in collaboration with the high-end luxury Balenciaga brand.
