Queen Elizabeth II's coffin arrives at Palace of Westminster: See Photos

Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin has reached the Palace of Westminster and will lie in state until the funeral, scheduled for September 19, 2022.

The late monarch’s coffin traveled from the royals’ country state in Balmoral and made stops down the Mall to Horse Guards Parade and Parliament Square before reaching the Westminster Hall in England.

The official social media handles of the royal family updated the general public on the arrival.

“During the Lying-in-State, members of the public will have the opportunity to visit Westminster Hall to pay their respects to The Queen. On the morning of Monday 19th September, the Lying-in-State will end and the Coffin will be taken in Procession from the Palace of Westminster to Westminster Abbey, where the State Funeral Service will take place,” the official Facebook page of the Royal Family informed.
