The 74th annual Emmy Awards 2022 took place on September 12th. The three-hour broadcast resumed its original form after two years of the pandemic.

The red carpet was back in full swing and the ceremony was held in a packed studio audience at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

See the most funniest reactions celebrities have to offer after winning Emmy Awards 2022.

Murray Bartlett

When Murray Bartlett took the stage to accept the trophy for his performance in The White Lotus at the 74th Emmy Awards, he was unable to contain his delight. He took home the prize for best supporting actor in a movie, limited series, or anthology.

Lizzo

When Lizzo tearfully accepted her first-ever Emmy Award for her reality series, Lizzo's Watch Out for The Big Grrrls, on Amazon Prime Video, she took the energy (and emotions) to the stage. She took home the prize for the best competition programme.

"The trophy is nice but the emotion is for the people who are on this stage with me," the singer said. "The stories that they shared are not that unique, they just don't get the platform. Let's just tell more stories."

"When I was a little girl, all I wanted to see was me in the media. Fat like me. Black like me. Beautiful like me," she continued.

"If I could go back and tell little Lizzo something, I would be like, 'You are gonna see that person but b—, it's gonna have to be you.' "

Julia Garner

When Julia Garner collected the prize for outstanding supporting actress in a drama series for Ozark at the 74th Emmy Awards, she was in shock.

In her endorsement speech, she praised costars, Jason Bateman, "for taking a chance on me," and Laura Linney, who has "been such a guiding light to me."

She added: "I feel really grateful to be here and to play Ruth and to be with such amazing, beautiful artists, and I love you all."

Amanda Seyfried

When Amanda Seyfried received her Emmy Award for her performance in The Dropout, she was ecstatic. She won the prize for the best lead actress in a limited series, anthology, or film.

Shemar Moore and Chris O'Donnell presented the award, and she collected it before calling her first Emmy victory "a really nice feeling."

Sheryl Lee Ralph

For her efforts at Abbott Elementary, Sheryl Lee Ralph won an Emmy. She graciously took the award in the category of finest supporting actress in a comedy series.

The actress marked the occasion by singing a lyric of jazz singer Dianne Reeves' 1993 song Endangered Species during her scene-stealing acceptance speech.

John Oliver

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver received recognition for being an outstanding variety talk programme. As Martin Short handed the comic the Emmy, he graciously received it by kneeling to the ground.
