Lewis Capaldi revealed to his followers that he has been diagnosed with Tourette syndrome.

The Before You Go singer disclosed the news during an Instagram live.

Tourette's is a nervous system disorder where one experiences sudden repetitive movements or unintentional sounds.

"I wanted to speak about it because I didn't want people to think I was taking cocaine or something," he told his followers.

He went on to explain that he experiences the “twitches” during times he is excited or stressed or happy–basically “all the time.”

"The worst thing about it is when I'm excited I get it, when I'm stressed I get it when I'm happy I get it. It happens all the time," he shared.

He continued, "Some days it's more painful than others and some days it's less painful. It looks a lot worse than it is. Sometimes it's quite uncomfortable ... but it comes and goes."

The Bruises singer shared that his random twitching during an interview in 2018 “makes so much sense” after being diagnosed.

"I do the shoulder twitch quite a lot. And you see underneath every TikTok and stuff, people are like, 'Why is he twitching?' which is fine. Curiosity is fine. I get it," he noted.

Capaldi also revealed he has been doing botox on his shoulder to minimize the twitching, which “worked a bit.”
