Busan has given fans’ warnings heed and changed the venue for the upcoming BTS free concert.
With BTS’ first show following their latest anthology album, Proof, approaching soon, fans are worried over the concert turning into another tragedy like that of Astroworld last year.
Here is the BTS news today regarding their concert venue. The concert venue transfer was shared by the band’s label BigHit who informed that the free concert will take place at Busan Asiad Main Stadium having a 53k seating capacity, instead of Ilgwang Special Stage which could hold an audience of 100k people.
“Our decision to change the location of the concert was made in an effort to ensure that the focus remains on the performance’s main purpose, which is to promote the bid for the 2030 Busan World Expo,” the label wrote in the statement. “Our top priority is…for the audience to have a smooth, enjoyable, and accessible viewing experience.”
The free concert was held to celebrate BTS being made ambassadors for the Busan World Expo 2030.
The Busan concert will also be live-streamed at the city’s Ports International Passenger Terminal Outdoor Parking Lot and online for the entire world to take part.
