Everything To know About Taylor 's Latest Album 'Midnight'

As the world slept sound and the clock strikes midnight, Taylor Swift surprised her fans with the announcement of her brand new album, Midnights.

Taylor Swift's video album named Midnights will depict "the stories of 13 sleepless nights" strewn across Swift's life and will be released on October 21 at midnight, fittingly.

The pop star received the video of the year for All Too Well, 10 Minute Taylor's Version featuring Sadie Sink and Dylan O'Brien at the Video Music Awards on Sunday night.

"I know with every second of this moment that we wouldn’t have been able to make this short film if it weren’t for you, the fans," Swift said in her thankyou speech.

"Because I wouldn’t be able to re-record my albums if it weren’t for you. You emboldened me to do that."

"And I had sort of made up my mind that, if you were going to be this generous and give us this, I thought it might be a fun moment to tell you that my brand-new album comes out October 21," she continued.

"And I will tell you more at midnight."

This was the first full-fledged information by the singer of her new album.

Taylor Swift, as we all know, does not believe in happenstance. While the date of October 21 may not appear to have any special importance, it does coincide with a few other pop culture events. For example;

Kim Kardashian's birthday, the movie My Policeman—starring Harry Styles, who Swift previously dated—releases on October 21, and, perhaps most innocently, Canadian singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen will release her new album, The Loneliest Time, on October 21 also.

About album songs as revealed in Swift’s late-night posts, the tracklist of 13 songs is presently labelled exactly as such: Side A includes Track One, Track Two, Track Three, Track Four, Track Five and Track Six and Side B includes Track Seven through Track Thirteen.

"We lie awake in love and in fear, in turmoil and in tears," Swift captioned her statement post on Instagram.

"We stare at walls and drink until they speak back. We twist in our self-made cages and pray that we aren’t—right this minute—about to make some fateful life-altering mistake."

She continued: "This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams."

"The floors we pace and the demons we face. For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searching—hoping that just maybe, when the clock strikes twelve… we’ll meet ourselves," Swift's caption concluded.

Midnights will be Love Story crooner's third album.
