Spookiest Addams family in Tim Burton's Wednesday is returning on screens in September

The series, Wednesday, will debut on Netflix in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Netflix unveiled the first official trailer for its new Tim Burton-directed series, Wednesday. The Addams Family has been making a comeback on the big screen — and it's even creepier and eerier than before.

You star Jenna Ortega appeared to be playing Wednesday, Morticia and Gomez Addams' gothic teenage daughter with mystical powers. She will be going to attend Nevermore Academy, where she anticipates "mayhem."

"Little did I know that I'd be stepping into a nightmare," Ortega said in the trailer.

"Full of mystery, mayhem and murder. I think I'm going to love it here."

The other star cast includes; Catherine Zeta-Jones played Morticia, Luis Guzmán played Gomez, and Isaac Ordonez played Wednesday's brother Pugsley.

Victor Dorobantu, who played Things, and George Burcea, who played Lurch have also been characterized in the series.

Christina Ricci, who played Wednesday in the 1990s films, has also been cast in the series.

Burton will direct four of the eight episodes in the series.
