Nicki Minaj’s latest album Super Freaky Girl seems to have won fan’s hearts.

The most popular new song this week is "Super Freaky Girl," the most recent single from Nicki Minaj.

Fans of music chose the Queen of Rap's Rick James-sampling single as their favorite new song release of the previous week in a survey that was published on Billboard on Friday, August 12.

New songs by Megan Thee Stallion (Traumazine), Anitta and Maluma ("El Que Espera"), NIKI (Nicole), Rod Wave (Beautiful Mind), and others were defeated by "Super Freaky Girl."

In "Super Freaky Girl," Minaj does what she does best: reworks classic songs and introduces them to fresh audiences.

Instead of using Sir Mix-A-"Baby Lot's Got Back" in her 2014 breakthrough "Anaconda," "Freaky Girl" uses James' 1981 Billboard Hot 100 hit "Super Freak."

She relishes reviving the scandalous funk of the vintage song with sexual innuendo and a flow that knows when to pick up the pace and when to truly land a punch line.

Minaj's first single after collaborating with Fivio Foreign on "We Go Up" in March is "Super Freaky Girl." Before that, she released three songs from this year: "Blick Blick" with Coi Leray, "Bussin" with Lil Baby, and "Do We Have A Problem?" with Lil Baby once more.
