Shawn Mendes 'doing therapy', 'taking it easy' during mental health break

Shawn Mendes has been “taking it easy” after he canceled his Wonder world tour to focus on his mental health.

In video footage released by TMZ, the Treat You Better singer was spotted waiting for his car at LAX when the paparazzi popped up to ask him a few questions.

Upon being asked how he is spending his time “on this big break,” the 22-year-old said he was “taking a lot of time” for himself, “doing therapy,” and “spending time with family.”

“Yeah, I think for me it’s just like about spending time doing things that I haven’t really done over the last few years,” he responded, citing dinner with friends as his fun time.

The Stitches crooner announced he will be halting his tour halfway, saying, he was not ready for "how difficult touring will be."

Some of his fans were annoyed they bought tickets for his concerts and are having trouble getting hotel refunds. Shawn hoped for the best saying, “it will all be figured out.”
