Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are working together once again.
According to Deadline, Leonardo DiCaprio has been cast in Martin Scorsese's adaptation of David Grann's novel The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny, and Murder, which has been set up at Apple.
Following their work together on Apple's Killers of the Flower Moon, which is also based on a non-fiction book by Grann, the two are now working on a new project.
The British navy ship Wager is wrecked on a barren island off the point of South America in the 1740s, and the crew must fight to survive and preserve order while contending with not just nature's most extreme elements but also their own human natures.
Who will manage the screenplay adaptation for The Wager is not yet known.
However, Scorsese for Sikelia Productions, DiCaprio and Jennifer Davison for Appian Way Productions, and Dan Friedkin and Bradley Thomas for Imperative Entertainment will produce. Richard Plepler of Eden Productions will serve as EP.
