Selena Gomez is reportedly being tapped to produce a remake of the 1988 comedy classic, Working Girl.
The remake of the Melanie Griffith-led movie is confirmed to be in the works and the Rare songstress will serve as the producer.
The movie revolves around an ambitious secretary who gets back at her dishonest boss Katherine Parker by pretending to be her when Parker is away from the office recovering from a broken leg.
According to reports, the screenplay for the remake is being written by Ilana Pena and is set to air on Hulu, with 20th Century Studios bagging the studio rights.
The 1988 version was directed by Mike Nichols and starred legends like Harrison Ford, Sigourney Weaver, Alec Baldwin, and Joan Cusack.
The film received five Oscar nominations including Best Actress for Griffith and two Best Supporting Actress nominations for Weaver and Cusack, 59.
Director for the upcoming reboot has not yet been announced.
