Britney Spears, Selena Gomez share emotional exchange on Instagram

Britney Spears and Selena Gomez shared a heartfelt exchange on Instagram over the weekend.

The Baby One More Time crooner shared a photo of Gomez wearing a khaki blouse and a colorful shirt with a heartfelt caption alongside the photo.

“She came to my wedding,” the 41-year-old gushed.

The pop star then proceeded to tag Drew Barrymore and Paris Hilton – who also attended Spears’ wedding with Sam Asghari in June – calling them the “three most beautiful women in Hollywood.”

Spears then spoke more about Gomez: “I was SO HAPPY !!! She told me 'I just want you to be happy' three times.”

She appreciated the Same Old Love hit-maker for all the work she has done regarding mental health for her generation. “You're such a special person and I had to share this picture … I thought it would make her happy,” Spears shared.

She also credited her mother for her wistful response to her daughter’s wedding.

The singer referred to the paparazzi video of her mother walking out of an airport when the pap asked Lynn her response to Britney’s wedding, to which she responded, “I just want her to be happy.”

“Mom and Selena, I’m so happy to have such a supportive family !!! God bless you.” Spears ended the caption.

Selena was quick to respond to the pop star’s tribute.

“Britney-you are so kind and have the most beautiful soul. I am beyond lucky to know you. You deserve all the happiness in the world!” she wrote in the comment.
