Alec Baldwin took to his Instagram on Sunday to announce his upcoming interview with Woody Allen.

In the video, Baldwin informed his followers that he will be interviewing the controversial director on Instagram Live on Tuesday, June 28.

"This coming Tuesday I’m gonna be doing an Instagram Live at 10.30 Eastern Time with… Woody Allen, who I love. I love you, Woody," he said.

In the video, Baldwin is seen holding up Allen's book Zero Gravity, his first new collection of short stories in 15 years, published June 7.

In the post's caption, Baldwin seemingly attempted to get ahead of the backlash by writing: "Let me preface this by stating that I have ZERO INTEREST in anyone's judgment and sanctimonious posts here."

"I am OBVIOUSLY someone who has my own set of beliefs and COULD NOT CARE LESS about anyone else’s speculation," he continued. "If you believe that a trial should be conducted by way of an HBO documentary, that’s your issue."

In 2017, author Dylan Farrow, who is the adoptive daughter of Woody Allen, claimed that he molested her when she was a child and since then she has been vocal about the alleged assault in articles and on camera, including appearing on Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering’s Allen v Farrow documentary released on HBO.

Allen has denied the allegations and has not been criminally charged.
